Nocturnal Animals Unit

Make the mystery of nighttime learning come alive.

The Nocturnal Animals 2-Week Unit invites children to explore the fascinating world of animals that are active after dark. Through warm, engaging lessons, children discover how nocturnal animals live, sense their surroundings, communicate, find food, and adapt to their habitats.

Designed for curious young learners, this unit blends science, reading and literacy, art, discussion, observation, and hands-on STEM design. It gives children meaningful ways to wonder, create, explain their thinking, and connect classroom learning to the natural world.

The unit spans two school weeks, with approximately 45–60 minutes per lesson.
